This was by far our hardest game. A very physical game played by both sides.

The game started well for us with Kath scoring early to put us 1 - 0 in the lead. And there we stayed. We had to work really hard to keep the score down to 1 - 0 and on a number of occasions the defence was called upon to stop the attack.

A great team effort and some great individual performances!
Amanda ran (even though she laughed the whole way up the pitch) and created plenty of space. Ali was shown a card from the umpire. Marie got a ball on the head during a short corner. Val's toe got stood on (again), and I got player of the match! (Val has told me to put this next bit) - "Lisa played very well because she stopped two own goal attempts by me". As if my jobs not hard enough Val, really!!!!!

Overall a good but physical game, Final Score Derby Asterdale Ladies 1st 1 Burton 2nds 0 Well Played!
