Ladies fight earns draw

Todays match against Vauxhall Chiltern saw Derby pick up a valuable point - but once again it could have easily been 3.

I will write a fuller report tomorrow but wanted to put a brief note on the web tonight.

The whole team played with unbelieveable commitment and fire today with - in my opinion - Marie Dymond being outstanding.

But there wasn't a poor performance across the whole pitch with every player contributing.

But for, again, a little more luck inside the Vauxhall 'D' we could have been run-away winners by 4 or 5 goals, we are winning so many corners but at the moment we don't seen to have that clinical finish - guess what we will be doing lots of on Tuesday (all PC team please make the effort to attend)

It will come I know.

Well done to all, I think that we all understand now just what it takes to compete in Midlands Hockey and with just a little more luck we will undoubtably survive.
