Derby played a hard fought match, with a drastically weakened team due to hoilidays, injuries and illness and the 3rds calling up of players, Derby started the match with only 10 players until the 11th turned up just before halftime. Derby went 3 - 0 down in the first 15 minutes but rallied around and scored a goal from a series of short corners, scored by Dan Simpson. The half-time score was 3 - 1 to the home team.

Derby started the second half with some sloppy defending and conceded a fourth goal, but fairly quickly scored a very good goal by Jon Hulland. Players then scored a further 2 goals the last of which came from some week defending through players being extremely tired. Dispite the score Derby played some good hockey and show some excellant team spirit, and its only a matter of time before we get our first valuable points.

There was some possitives to take from the game but plenty of things to learn from.
