Mens 1st V Corby

For once we actually started a game strongly. This resulted in us grabbing an early lead due to a deflection by Will Lanoe. The rest of the half saw us put in the best performance of the season, neutralising the Corby threat and creating numerous chances of our own. We went into the 2nd half with a deserved 1 goal lead.

The 2nd half started with Lee managing to give away his 2nd penalty in as many weeks. Either he was bored from lack of action in the 1st half or he just likes giving flicks away against Corby. 2 yellow cards were shown to Corby players which left them down to 9 men. We could not capitalise on this and soon after they equalised. The ball defelected off Andy's knee into the path of the attacker who then scored. We all stopped which shouldn't have happened and they capitalised. Another goal for them from a short corner made the score 2-1 and that is how it ended. Final score Corby 2 Derby 1
