MENS SECTION - THE LADIES 1ST XI NEED YOUR HELP!

Easter Saturday saw Matlock play their catch up game against Staveley with a final score of 2-2, a perfect result for the Ladies 1st XI.

This result means that a win away at Ilkeston on Saturday will see Derby become Derbyshire Champions and we need your help.

We all know that having support on the sidelines has a massively positive effect on those playing and as a club It would be great to show a fellow Derbyshire side just what a united club we truly are.

Can I please ask that each Captain / player calls his squad and maybe twists an arm or two to come to the match to support the ladies 1st XI and see them hopefully crowned Champions at the end of a truly memorable season for them.

This season is more important than past ones as an automatic place in the Midlands Feeder League East is awarded to the Derbyshire winners and any edge the squad can get will assist. Please please please make the effort to come along and encourage as many of your squad as possible to join you in being there when promotion is hopefully won by this great bunch of players.

We are a single united club and it would be fantastic to see 30-40 people on the sidelines supporting the girls and being a part of the anticipated celebrations – and maybe a crafty beer after the match.

You never know ELVIS, TAKE THAT, THE SPICE GIRLS & MIKA may even put in an appearance. (All will become apparent to those attending)

Take the A609 from Derby to Ilkeston. Turn left into Oakwell Drive in Ilkeston at a set of traffic lights. Take the next left at the traffic lights into West End Drive. Turn left into the car park after the White Cricket Pavillion. If you get to the Pewit Golf Course you have gone too far!

From M1 Junction 26 take the A610 towards Ripley. Take the Awsworth slip road off the A610 (also signposted IKEA). Head towards Ilkeston. Onto Station Road, at the roundabout turn left onto Chalons Way (A6007). At the roundabout go right onto A608. Turn right onto Oakwell Drive. Take the next left at the traffic lights into West End Drive. Turn left into the car park after the White Cricket Pavillion. If you get to the Pewit Golf Course you have gone too far!
