Mens 3rds Vs South Notts, 04/10/2008

Yesterdays match against South Notts seemed a much harder contest than the previous weeks match against Barton. From the start South Notts were psyched up, passing well and getting to the ball first. However good communication, man marking and strong defending kept Derby in it. When Derby got the ball they made the most of it and lead 2-0 at half time.

Going into the second half South Notts briefly looked like they could come back into it at 3-1 but Derby quickly adjusted and won the game 5-1! Scorers this week were Ben Taylor, Paul Nielson, Matt Brennan, Sam Taylor and a brilliant flick from Des Pope. Man of the match was yet again Sam Taylor.

Next week is Coventry Sikh Union away for a 3.30pm start.
