Mens 4ths v West Bridgford 8s

In this game Derby needed to win to have any chance of surviving relegation.

Derby came out a little nervous but started to settle down about 10 minutes into the game, soon after we won a short corner which Derek struck although the keeper saved it, it came straight back to him for Derek to put it in the back of the net. Then came goals from Matt and Jon and this was just the first half.

Soon after the start Matt scored his second goals and an injury to the Bridgford keeper. West Bridgford then decided to play with a kicking back. It then took us about 15 - 20 minutes before Jon managed to score our 5th and his 2nd goal, not long after that Jon scored his 3rd and Dan S scored one to make it 7 - 0. Yes we played well but Bridgford also allwed us to play well.

So with an impressive 7 - 0 victory and with 3 goals for Jon Hulland, 2 for Matt Brennan, and 1 each for Derek Corden and Dan Simpson we have kept alive our chance of survival.

We have to beat Burton and get at least 1 point from Belper 5's top or Loughborough Town 5's mid-table to survive. We don't have a league game this saturday.
