Mens 3rd's take 4th place in the league with a win.

Today the men's 3rd team won their last game of the season against Leicester Westleigh to take back 4th place in the league by 1 point. Goals weer scored by Des Pope, Pat Chambers, and 2 by Dave Steadman.

The match began at 9.30am!!!! Naturally everyone was still asleep, but were woken up 10 minutes in when the 10 men Leicester Westleigh opened the scoring. As Des Pope took to the pitch returning from injury Derby stepped up a gear and Des opened the scoring in a short corner. Before half time Pat added to the score line by swerving the ball around the keeper.

In the second half Dave Steadman, who had had several near misses in the first half, soon scored. Leicester Westleigh caught us out on the break to grab one back. However the match was all but over when Dave scored his second.

This week saw an impressive debut for Matt Brennan in the 3rd team on the left wing. However man of the match this week goes to Dave Steadman.
