Another week another valuable lesson earned - Derby made a really bright start to the game, dominating possession and looking dangerous particularly down the right where Ben Harvey is improving with every game. However we then decided it was clearly only a matter of time before we scored and selected cruise control to see us through the game. However, as in most sports, in Hockey you get what you earn and we got exactly what we deserved by taking our foot off the pedal - an Ashbourne goal!
So at the start of the second half we had to roll our sleaves up and fight for a result which we did - the skipper got a rush of blood to the head and decided to smack a penalty corner into the corner of the goal, furtunately Ian Kerr wasn't put off by the captains very dodgy celebrations of one of his rare goals, and put us in front moments later.
Ashbourne rallied again but we held firm and finished the game on the attack for our 6th straight win.
