1st finish pre-season games

The first team finished their pre-season games with a 1-1 draw at North Notts on Saturday, Nick Harrod-Evans scoring the goal, with a performance that was very mixed, sometimes good, sometimes not (the team, not Nick!).

The previous week they won 3-2 against local rivals Rolls Royce in what was a very scrappy game. Initially struggling to find their rythmn they went behind to a quick breakaway goal, before establishing a 3-1 lead with goals from Nick Harrod-Evans(2) and Andy Knight. Rolls Royce pulled one back late in the game put never looked like forcing the equaliser. In fact Derby created the better opportunities.

They have now played 3, winning 2 (Nottm 4-0, Rolls Royce 3-2) and drawing 1.

The season starts at home on Saturday against Standard (1330hrs at Wilsthorpe), who are new to the Division this season and therefore represent an unknown challange.
