Men's 1s V Rolls Royce

Afer last weeks defeat, this was a must win game. So, in the pouring rain, we started like a side who wanted to banish the demons of last week and win this game as comfortably as possible. Unfortunately, our early pressure did not result in the goal that we deserved. After our opening burst the game evened out, and if any side was on top then it had to be Rolls Royce. They showed this by scoring the opening goal of the game, and putting is in the usual position of being a goal behind. This made us raise our game and we started to slowly get ourselves back on top. We got the eaqualiser we deserved through Nick so at half time we were drawing 1-1.

We started the 2nd half off strongly and with the game becoming a midfield battle and it was looking like it would take a bit of luck for us to win the game. A mis control by a Royce's defender,which Nick capatilised on to put us 2-1 up. Then Royce's started to pile on the pressure, so to win this game we had to dig deep. After a string of short corners from Royce's, which were defended well. Then some horrendous stick tackles by a Royce's player which went unpunished by the umpires, which to be fair was the only mistakes the umpires made. Final Score-Rolls Royce 1 Derby Asterdale 2
