Ladies' Second Team Report 02/02/08

Ashbourne 1 - 0 Derby Asterdale
When the match began you wouldn't have been blamed for thinking this was 'Asterdale on Ice' as the pitch was completely covered in a thin layer of snow. With a bit of slipping and sliding, both teams dug in and fought hard and the disappointing loss could really have gone either way.

The star of Asterdale took the form of an almighty foot - owner Keeper Lisa -as the opposition's centre forward mercilessly wielded her stick against the solid sole but was denied!

Overall, an anticlimax after the win last week but a considerably more respectable scoreline than our last meet (9-1 loss.)
