Mens 1sts V Grantham

The men's firsts were, again, 6-0 winners. We started the first half uneasily, with Grantham applying the early pressure. The defence responded well and this was a used to help form any attacks of our own. The goals started to flow after Nick Harrod-Evans seized on a defensive error to put is in the lead. Grantham then lost all ambition and sat deeper and deeper throughout the first half. 3 more goals scored by Mark Gittens (penalty flick), Andy Knight (deflection from short) and Dave Ellis (strike from short). Towards the end of the first half Nick Harrod-Evans got a green card.

The half time team talk had Andy Knight telling us all to be careful and not to get any cards. So, the captain led by example and got himself a yellow card.

2 more goals in the second half by Andy Knight (another deflection from a short) and Andy Lee (easy finish from a short) resulted in this being a comfortable win for us.
